2 NEW COMMISSIONED PAINTINGS
Created for Christie Krohn with Carpet Direct in Colorado Springs. Christie loves nature landscapes, specifically rivers and waterfalls. And I had so much fun creating these two 12"x12" oil paintings for her:
"Peaceful Waters" (left) "Everflowing" (right)
Both paintings were created using reference photographs from different photo trips. And although they are different scenes, the paintings work as a set with the water and trees tying them together. For fellow artists creating your own sets of paintings, there are different options. You can create a widescreen painting that is split between the different canvases. Or you can create similar scenes, like I did here, using similar subject matters with enough contrast to not be identical.
